The Townsville Triathlon Festival is a two-day celebration of lifestyle, fitness and community participation staged along Townsville's iconic Strand.
The festival comprises three key events:

The Townsville Cycle Club Cycle Criterium
Over the two days, the main activity takes place in Townsville's Strand Park, where the high-traffic transition area is located. The swim leg is just off the main Strand beach, the bike leg and cycle criterium takes participants along The Strand and through neighbouring streets, and the run leg is along the beautiful Strand pathway.
Townsville City Council have endorsed the event yet again, backing the festival as a major partner in 2010.
More than 1000 competitors took part in last year's event, and many more spectators lined the Strand to cheer on their mates. This year organisers anticipate an increase in participants of approximately 30%.
Sponsorship packages are currently available and present exciting opportunities to contribute towards a highly popular not-for-profit event attended by thousands of lifestyle and health-conscious people, who travel from within the region and beyond to take part.
