The North Queensland Aquathon Summer Series 2017 is powered by the Townsville Triathlon Festival.
This 3 Series Event will be held along the picturesque Strand

A Summer 3 Race series sanctioned event
Participants have 3 distances to choose from along with an event for Kids and juniors.
The series will run on a points system with participants collecting points across each round and an overall winner for each age group awarded at the completion of the series.
To be held on the Strand, a great opportuniy to get involved in a Summer Event!

The Townsville Triathlon Festival is entering its 15th year and is established as a significant race on the National Triathlon circuit having hosted a World Age Group Qualifying Olympic Distance race in 2014 and 2015. The Festival is proud to announce for 2017 and 2018 we will host the Triathlon Queensland Club Championships – North Queensland testimony to the quality of the course and event itself.
Olympic Distance is back!! 2017 will see the Olympic Distance return to Townsville! Both Individual and Teams.
2017 and beyond will see the Festival embark on a new and exciting chapter, with the creation of the “Big Weekend” A weekend of racing, fun and a full festival atmosphere with an array of events and activities to take part in across one massive weekend. Triathlon is one of the world’s fastest growing sports. To give the Townsville Triathlon Festival a point difference “The Big Weekend” will appeal to all ages and all fitness level wanting to be involved and have FUN. The “Big Weekend” provides a unique opportunity that no other Triathlon event in Australia offers, the ability to race in multiple events over one weekend.
A total of 11 events across 3 days. The Festival will also offer competitors entertainment options including the opening night ‘Carbs With The Stars’ dinner, the option to go to the North Queensland Cowboys home game on the Saturday night, and post event get together on the Sunday afternoon, as part of the “Big Weekend”.
