Changed Traffic Conditions

Saturday 23 - Sunday 24 August 2025

There will be road closures and changed traffic conditions for the event weekend. This will affect The Strand, Howitt, Isley, Primrose and Mitchell Streets along with Pallarenda Road and adjacent roads.

In the event of an emergency, emergency vehicles will have priority access to the closed roads at all times.

To avoid any confusion there will be:

  • Special event signage posted throughout the community in advance of the event

  • Flashing VMS signs in key areas

  • Detour signage on the event day

The Townsville Triathlon and Multisport Festival thanks the residents and businesses that would have been impacted by the Changed Traffic Conditions for their support.

On the event day, map apps such as Google and Apple Maps will automatically calculate a reroute around the road closures.
